When You Hire Young and Inexperienced Journalists

Over the weekend, when Memphis police Chief C.J. Davis and the mayor held a press conference after multiple people were shot, the chief asked journalists from all 4 stations if anyone had questions and not one journalists asked a question.

“The problem is these managers are hiring journalists fresh out of college and journalists who are not as experienced and these rookies don't understand how important it is to ask questions,” said one Memphis newsie to FTVLive, adding, "This was a national story and no journalists asked questions. This is a bad time for TV News.”
