Cleveland Reporter is Heading Closer to Homa (see what I did there?)
/WEWS Reporter Homa Bash (one of the 5 best names in TV News) is leaving Ohio and headed to the Big D.
Bash is headed to KXAS in Dallas at the end of August. She has been at WEWS for 2 years, but according to an internal memo, she wanted to get back closer to her family.
So Bash is bolting for the NBC O&O in Dallas. Before coming to Cleveland, Bash worked at KTUL in Tulsa (one of FTVLive's many stops in TV News) and KTAB in Abilene, Texas.
Here is the internal memo, obtained by FTVLive that was sent out to the staff at WEWS:

Subject: Announcement
Folks,
I wanted to let you know that Homa Bash is leaving NewsChannel 5 for a great opportunity closer to home. She’ll be a reporter at KXAS, the NBC O & O in Dallas! It was a difficult decision for her but the pull of family back in Tulsa was too great to pass up. I’ll really miss Homa. She’s never shy about telling you where she stands…which is such a vital component of the editorial process. (More specifically, she’s never been shy telling ME where she stands, but that’s neither here nor there). Her point of view is unique. She’s a compassionate reporter, a passionate storyteller and a wonderful editor. Her work on our social platforms has been outstanding. Homa has been with us for only two years but she’s made Cleveland her adopted home and I’m grateful for all of her fantastic work here at the station!
Her last day will be at the end of August…Congrats Homa!
Thanks,
Jeff Harris
