How Refreshing is This....

FTVLive told you that Christina Carilla was named as the Anchor to replace the controversial Kari Lake at KSAZ in Phoenix.

While she replacing Lake on the desk, she has no thoughts about replacing her when it comes to controversies.

Kari Lake never seemed to understand that a news anchor’s job is to report the news in an unbiased manner and not to make it about you.

Carilla understands her role.

“Nobody wants to be the news when you’re doing the news, or be the center of attention. At least I don’t,” she said, “And so I just want this community to trust me and get to know me and welcome me into their homes.”

As for replacing Lake, who appeared to make more headlines than she reported, Carilla says, “This is a fresh start, a new chapter.”

Then she said, “Honest journalism, integrity — all those things are important to me,” she said. “I want to present people with the facts, and they can make their own conclusions. But I want to tell people why these stories are important, why they should pay attention, how it will impact them on a daily basis, how it could change their life.”

It’s like she is the anti-Kari Lake and how refreshing is that?
