You Will Do It All....

Looking at this job posting for a Morning Assignment Editor at Graham’s WJXT in Jacksonville is a bit eye-opening.

As TV stations are trying to do more with less, they are asking the person that does this job to do a hell of a lot.

The job duties say that you will be the Assignment Editor, but also might be called on to be the Traffic Anchor. All while posting to social media and updating the station’s website, while working with the Producers.

Sounds like a full day.

But, when the morning newscast is over, you will then head out into the field as a Reporter and It will be your job to set up interviews, generate the story and be able to shoot and edit.

Oh! You also must have a “strong on-air presence.”

The listing does not say how much the job pays, but looking at all the duties and what will be asked of you, I’m thinking $1 million bucks sounds about right.
