Do As I Say, Not As I Do....
/People that work in local TV know the pressure that station management put on its staff to continue to post across social media platforms.
Most of the Fox O&O’s even include putting a monitor up in the newsroom, with a scoreboard as to how people are doing?
We could get into how this is a stupid thing to do, or how the posts have little impact on the station’s ratings, but, we’ll save that for another time.
Here’s something we found a bit head scratching.
WTXF Fox Philly as a VP Creative Services & New Media and her name is Alissa Frick.
Now, you would think that a VP of New Media would be very active on social media, especially since they are demanding that the staff be.
But yet, looking at Frick’s Twitter account and she hasn’t posted a thing in the past 6 months.
Clearly, this seems to be a case of do as I say and not as a do.
I’m not really sure though, if that’s the best way to manage.
