Sexting Anchor is Sacked

Back in October, FTVLive told you about WFLD (Chicago) Anchor Rafer Weigel and the allegations made against him.

Weigel was the morning anchor of The Firm’s Good Day Chicago and has been off the air since October.

The Anchorman was alleged to be dating a number of women and it is said to involve sexting, sex and revenge porn. It got so bad the parties involved went to court as they all seemed to be filing protection orders from each other.

No one in the case was charged with a crime, but Weigel was suspended from the station and now it appears he has been fired.

The station isn’t commenting (no surprise there), but Weigel did go on social media to say he is no longer with the station.

“Today my career at Fox 32 has come to an end,” Weigel wrote. He then added, “Despite having my case cleared in court, Fox 32 let me go. I absolutely acknowledge I made some poor decisions in my life and have learned from them. For the past 90 days, I have been in treatment for my addictions.”

With the Feb book starting today, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Weigel on some Chicago media outlet, telling his story.

Stay tuned…
