Done Spending Time with the Family
/After three months of intense bonding with her three sons, including newcomer Noel, the baby of the house, KSAT Anchor Isis Romero returned to work this week.
“I think for many moms — myself included — going back to work after having a baby can be a tough transition,” Romero wrote in an email.
“I’ll miss a lot of precious moments— but that’s just the reality of being a working mom. Finding the right work-life balance can take some time, but will come eventually.”
As for her time away from the newsroom, Romero says that she treasured evening meals with her family: KENS weekend anchor Phil Anaya, and kids Elijah, 3, Phillip, 2, and Noel, 3 months.
“During my normal work schedule, I rarely get to have dinner with my family, so I truly savored this special time with them.”
As for more kids in the future? “We've had three kids in just over three years, so we have our hands full right now,” she said. “We're really happy with the size of our family.”
