Passed Over Anchor Leaves Nexstar Station

When morning Anchor Teresa Weakley left Nexstar owned WIVB in Buffalo a year ago, the station turned to Brittni Smallwood to fill in as her replacement.
Smallwood did the job for months and the ratings on the show increased. She applied for the full-time Anchor gig, but the station passed her over and hired someone else.
Now, Smallwood has decided to leave the station. She says she's leaving to spend more time with her husband and baby. But, one has to wonder if she got the job that she applied for, would she still be headed for the exits?
