Covering Sports and Dodging Bullets

KTBS (Shreveport) Sports Reporter Daniel Brown was sitting in his station news car editing highlights of a high school football game that he just covered.

While he was editing, he heard what he thought were gunshots and then heard a sound just outside the news car.

A bullet hit the rearview mirror of the KTBS news car.

"I look over to my left and see my side view mirror has a bullet hole in it. When I realized what happened, I crouched down, grabbed my laptop and thought of safety first," said Brown.

"Multiple people were out there after the game. Luckily, it was just a side view mirror that was hit because there were people in front of my car. If it wasn't there, they could have got hit," said Brown.

No arrest have been made.
