The Scripps Initiative is Failing, Big Time

As anyone who reads FTVLive knows, Scripps got rid of many talented Journalists and is trying to do news on the cheap.

It’s not working.

As an example, let’s look at Scripps-owned KATC in Lafayette.

Their main Anchors crossed the street after being pushed out, and the station hired a bunch of kids to be MMJs.

The format is failing to the point that KATC General Manager Sean Trcalek and News Director Nichole Cyprian took part in a social media video to try to explain the changes.

The post got nearly 200 comments, and not to pick and choose, here are the first 12 comments under the post.

The 180 something other comments, were pretty much on the same level.

At this point, Scripps should acknowledge that this isn’t working, and go back to a more normal newscasts.

But, they seemed determined to flying this failing idea straight into the ground.

Clearly, videos such as these, aren’t the answer.

Just saying…
