When the Skits Write Themselves

If SNL wanted to save big money, all they need to do is fire all their writers and comics and let Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt just talk.

Her takes are as funny as anything you have seen on SNL.

Like this one, in which she is talking about Trump’s hush payment money trial, saying, "Does this set a precedent for other people who want to run for president? What if they've done something like this in the past and they can say, 'oh, well, they told me in the 8th grade they want to run for president, so since they paid off a girl when they were 30 years old, then that was election interference.'"

Don’t believe me?

Watch…

First off, Trump’s case is not hypothetical. He was running for President. He wanted to suppress a story. He paid a lawyer and a national media outlet to help in that endeavor.

Second, I’m not sure how many 8th graders are paying off porn stars, but then again, it’s been a long time since I was in 8th grade.

Also, Trump wasn’t in his 30’s, he was in his 70’s and he paid the money to keep the story quiet during the election.

Lastly, Trump is charged with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. It’s not illegal to have an affair or to pay hush money.

Yet, Earhardt acts like that’s what he’s being charged with.

I’m not sure even the Fox faithful will buy this load of crap.

Then again…
