BREAKING! Longtime Philly Anchor is Leaving...

NBC’s WCAU held a news meeting a short time ago and employees were told that longtime morning Anchor Vai Sikahema is leaving the station.

Sikahema joined the station in 1994.

Before moving into broadcasting, Sikahema played football for the Philadelphia Eagles.

He worked at KSAZ in Phoenix while he was with the Cardinals, and with WFRV in Green Bay, Wisconsin during his stint with the Packers.

He played for the Eagles from 1992 to 1994.

NBC has been quietly trying to make budget cuts at both the network level and at the O&O’s.

Some station insiders tell FTVLive that they think Sikahema was offered a buyout.

So far, no official word from the station on Sikahema leaving the station.
