Yesterday, FTVLive FIRST told you that longtime DC anchor Tony Perkins was going to be joining Tegna’s WUSA in Washington.

Perkins, a longtime Anchor at WTTG (DC) joined WUSA for a sweeps stunt back in November and now he has decided to stick around a bit longer.

Yesterday, FTVLive broke the news and a few hours later WUSA sent out a press release. Of course, the station did not send us the release, but then again, we already knew the news.

While other TV websites sit back and wait for the press release, FTVLive breaks the news before many inside the station know what’s going down.

That’s what we do.
