Calling Out the Fox O&O in SFO (Updated)

Cops in San Francisco arrested a man that they say is a suspect in the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old woman Sunday night on the rapid transit train.

Police say that the killing may have been racially motivated.

The woman killed in the stabbing was Nia Wilson and this is the picture that Fox O&O KTVU used.

Now, remember this is the victim, yet for some reason, KTVU decided to use a picture of her holding a gun. A quick search shows that you can find plenty of pictures of Wilson, in which she is not holding a gun.

So, why did the Fox O&O choose this picture. Why are they trying to cast this murder victim in this light? You have to wonder if Nia Wilson was white, would KTVU have used a picture of her with a gun?

There is no doubt this was at the very least poor taste by the station and some on social media think it is straight up racist by the Fox O&O:

I think at least the station owes Wilson's family an apology.

But, that's just me.
