And Another One
/WCNC (Charlotte) Anchor Bill McGinty also is one of those that have cast objectivity aside and decided to weigh in on the NFL players protests.
Just like the players that have the RIGHT to take a knee, all of us have the same right to share our thoughts about it.
But, if you call yourself an objective Journalist, then you know that sharing your thoughts publicly are going against the core values of your job?
If McGinty (or any other Journalist that voiced their opinion either way) is sent into an NFL locker room to cover the story or is speaking about it on the newscast, how is the public supposed to trust that he is not slanting the story, given that his views are now public? It's not that you don't have the right to say what you think, but if you respect your job and your profession, you would be best to shut up and do that job.
Also, call the school that taught your Journalism and ask for a refund, because obviously they didn't.
Just saying...
