Tegna/Nexstar Step In

The Tegna and Nextar owned stations are stepping in to help the victims of Harvey.

The stations are holding a Telethon for Texas and asking viewers to call in donations, which the group say will be donated to the victims.

Tegna says they will match the first $100,000 that is raised.

$100,000? That's it?

In the second quarter alone, Tegna pulled in a net income of $50 million bucks, I'm fairly certain that the company can pitch in more than a $100 grand.

Come on Tegna...step up.

Also, quit sending a one person MMJ to cover a hurricane. It's dangerous and stupid.

No word on how much Nexstar is matching.

But knowing Perry Sook, we're betting it will be at least $30.
