Bumped Up in Tucson

The Weekend Anchor at KVOA is getting the big chair.
The station announced that Angelique Lizarde is being promoted from Weekend News Anchor to Primary News Anchor at NBC affiliate.
Lizarde will co-anchor News 4 Tucson newscasts on weeknights at 5:00, 6:00 & 10:00PM with John Overall.
Lizarde previously was hired as Multi-Media Journalist at at the station in October 2009.
“Angelique has a unique skill set that makes her a perfect fit for our primary anchor team,” said Cathie Batbie, KVOA-TV/News 4 Tucson. “She combines a great attitude with dogged-determination to deliver a quality news product, in a timely fashion, across all of our various platforms.”

Angelique Lizarde will take over the Primary Anchor chair on Monday, August 7.
She takes over for Kristi Tedesco, who as FTVLive FIRSt told you was leaving to "spend more time with her family."
