Layoffs Start at ESPN

Today was the day that people are starting to be called in and told their serivices are no longer needed.
About 100 people are getting sacked and many of them are on air talent.
The network has lost more than 10 million subscribers over the past several years and the broadcast rights to sporting events have skyrocketed.
ESPN is trying to cut talent in an effort to save money.
Longtime ESPN Reporter Ed Werder was one of the first told he was being kicked to the curb.
