Tegna Station Giving Away Money for Viewers to Watch

While Tegna is laying off people at their stations coast to coast, their DC station is giving away money.
WUSA is not going to rely on good Journalism to bring in viewers, they are going straight to bribery.
The station will be giving away $20,000 during the Feb book, to try and get viewers to watch their morning newscast.
According to the contest rules, "entrants must watch Wake Up Washington from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. on WUSA9 Monday through Friday to receive the “The Word of the Day” and then call (202-244-2064) for a chance to win. Entrants must be 18 years old or older. The 9th answered caller on each day, Monday through Friday, will be the winner, once “The Word of the Day” has been received from the Caller and verified by WUSA9."
Employees of WUSA are not eligible, but those that have been laid off by Tegna are.
