Conflict?

OK, this seems like it would be a bit of a conflict to us, let's see you agree.

Eric Eglin is the current Assistant News Director at Sinclair owned WBFF in Baltimore. He also has a side business where he acts as a sort of TV agent.

He not only says that he will help people with their career, but he will also place them in jobs.

This is what he has written on his website:

Why should you trust me to help you with your career?
I have spent 22 years in and out of some of the best newsrooms in the country. For the last ten years, I have worked in upper management positions in Miami, San Francisco, Austin and now serve as Assistant News Director for FOX45 News in Baltimore (Sinclair-owned). I know what it’s like to work with managers who put their employees’ best interests before their own. You deserve that type of help.

Will I only send you to Sinclair-owned stations?
No. I have connections at stations around the country, including every market in the Top 20. As my full-time employer, I feel obligated to find the best talent for Sinclair. However, if we are not operating in a certain market and/or don’t have the right opportunity for you, I’m not afraid to reach out to my other connections.

Doesn't it seem odd that he is working to place people in non-Sinclair stations? Also, say you are up for a job at a Sinclair station, but one of the people you are up against has hired Eric Eglin to rep them. Now, it would seem your chances of getting hired before that person decreases. Also, if you hire Eglin to give you a leg up on the job, isn't that boarding on unethical on his part?

Also, how is Sinclair OK with this?

So many questions, but it seems just a bit shady to us.
