Now, one Wichita station is cutting out the middle man and just having the consultant Anchor the news.

KAKE in Wichita is shuffling the Anchors in a quest to get some more eyeballs watching their newscasts and one of those new Anchor hires is/was a TV consultant.

The station announced that Jim Grimes will join Deb Farris on the news desk. Grimes comes to the station from his TV consulting job at Talent Dynamics.

Will the station still use a consultant to tell their consultant/anchor how to present the news?
