Phoenix News Crew Injured in Crash

A KPNX Reporter and Photographer are being treated for injuries after their news vehicle collided with an SUV at a Phoenix intersection.

Phoenix police say it appears the SUV failed to yield at a stop sign and hit the KPNX news van.

Police say the news van rolled into oncoming traffic and was hit by another vehicle.

KPNX says weekend evening anchor Kim Covington was taken to a Phoenix hospital for treatment. They say photo journalist Michael Falvo was treated by paramedics at the scene and was being evaluated by doctors.

Police say the unidentified driver of the SUV could be cited in the accident.
