Out the Door in Dallas

KTVT (Dallas) Chief Meteorologist Scott Padgett took to social media to say he is leaving the CBS O&O. He also put out a call to Mets, who might be interested in his old job.

This is what he wrote in LinkedIn:

I have some exciting but also bittersweet news to share. I am very happy living and working here in North Texas but I have an exciting career opportunity that I've been working on for many years that has my time at KTVT coming to an end. That said, the Chief Meteorologist position is open here and it is a rare opportunity to lead a First Alert Meteorology team in the number 4 market in the nation.

Your meteorology skills will be challenged here as we every type of weather. From severe storms with multiple tornado warnings, ice storms, dangerous heat, flash flooding and even tropical systems your knowledge will be put to the test.

KTVT | CBS News Texas is an owned and operated station that takes weather seriously and invests in the latest technology.

Our news director Meagan Harris says it best when it comes to a meteorologist she's looking to join and lead our team "It's about more than just the 7-day.
Working in weather is a calling. And I'm looking for people who love it. People who geek out over data and understand how to tell the weather story."

While my story at CBS News Texas may be coming to an end, my story in forecasting the weather and sharing my love for meteorology continues.
