Allen Media Strikes Again

Back in 2017, FTVLive told you that KVOA (Tucson) Weekend Anchor Angelique Lizarde was getting bumped up to the main gig at the Allen Media station.

After her promotion, her GM, Bill Shaw said at the time, “This is a well-deserved promotion for a hard working journalist,” said Shaw.  “Angelique has proven herself to be outstanding member of our team, and a leader, in our newsroom.”

Fast forward to 2025 and Allen Media has kicked Lizarde to the curb.

Viewers are taking notice of Allen Media and their cuts.

It used to be hard work and seniority kept you around. Now, it often makes you first on the cut list.
