When WDSU Chief Meteorologist Margret Orr retired, many belived that longtime WDSU Met Damon Singleton would be getting the Chief job at the Hearst station.
Singleton had been with the station nearly two decades and if he was bumped up to Chiet Met, he would have been the first Black CM in New Orleans.
Singleton himself thought he might get the promotion.
But, WDSU did not bump Singleton up, and now he has “retired” from the station.
The station played it off as a big happy retirement, but viewers are getting a bad smell from WDSU.
