News Nation Continues to Flounder

Nexstar’s News Nation launched with the claim that it would be a down-the-middle, unbiased news operation, and I cheered.

I really thought that having a legitimate cable news outlet with no bias would work.

But not long after launching, it was clear that News Nation wasn’t going to be what it claimed to be.

Former Fox News boss and Trump surrogate Bill Shine has been consulting News Nation. Sean Compton, who claims Don Trump as a friend, runs the outlet.

News Nation has hired Fox News castoffs and fired CNN host Chris Cuomo.

The network has been anything but unbiased, and it has floundered in the ratings.

Despite a news cycle unlike anything we have seen, News Nation ranks 68th in the rankings.

The ratings are awful, and the demos are even worse.

I don’t know how much longer Perry Sook and the gang at Nexstar are going to try to ride this dead horse, but it appears they are not getting off.
