Bounced Phoenix GM Lands in Portland

Four years ago, FTVLive FIRST reported that Tegna’s KPNX had parted ways with General Manager Dean Ditmer after 3 1/2 years at the station.

The staff at the Tegna station learned of Ditmer’s exit from FTVLive, and it was after our report that Tegna sent out a memo confirming what we reported.

Well, it appears that Ditmer has finally landed another job, but this time with Sinclair.

Ditmer has been named Vice President/General Manager of KATU and KUNP in Portland, OR, which is a huge market drop from Phoenix.

“I am eager to get started to help support that transformation at the terrific operation in Portland,” said Ditmer.

Hell, I think after 4 years, he’s happy to land anywhere.
