Account Deleted

Sources at Graham Media tell FTVLive that talent are told they must build a new social media account under their name and maintain that account.

But, if they leave the company, they aren't allowed to keep it the account.

WSLS (Roanoke) Meteorologist Chris Michaels has built up his Facebook account "Chris Michaels WSLS 10 News" to over 45K followers.

Micheals is now leaving for a job at WRAL, and the station is deleting his account.

You would hope that Graham just let him keep the account and change it to "Chris Michaels WRAL”, but that isn’t happening.

My advice to anyone else that is required to make a station account in which they don’t own it.

Go ahead and make the station account and put in as little effort as can, while building your personal social media pages up with hard work.
