Making Room in Cincy?

Yesterday, FTVLive shared an email from a reader who believes that Sinclair could be looking to make a change at WKEF in Dayton.

Sources are telling FTVLive that there has been a lot of construction on the third floor of the building that houses Sinclair’s WKRC in Cincinnati. 

The scuttlebutt is that Sinclair is preparing to merge WKEF with WKRC into one building.

“There has been talk for years about merging the Cincinnati and Dayton TV markets given the growth between the two cities,” said our source.

The drive time between the two stations is about 50 minutes. As the crow flies, they are less than 40 miles apart.

Moving WKEF to Cincinnati sounds like a move that Sinclair would make.

Of course, two stations under one roof, means the company can also cut staff. And you know how much Sinclair loves to do that.
