Strike One and Two...

Saturday marked the 10th anniversary of the death of former DC mayor Marion Barry.

On NBC O&O’s WRC, the anchor referred to him as “Marion Bowser” in the intro (the current mayor is Muriel Bowser). Strike one.

Then, for most of the story, WRC’s lower third referred to Barry as “Marion Marry.” Strike two.
