Missing Chicago Anchor Resurfaces

Back in June, FTVLive told you that WBBM Anchor Brad Edwards seemed to leave the CBS O&O in the dark of the night.

On June 14th, FTVLive wrote,” Sources tell FTVLive that the CBS O&O parted ways with Edwards, who’s been with the station for over a dozen years. The station isn’t talking, but the exit was very sudden.”

Well, we’re happy to report that Edwards has resurfaced.

Edwards was the first openly gay Chicago main news anchor. He was also living with leukemia.

“Brad Edwards, favorite/hardest-working journalist I've ever worked with…,” said one person who worked with him at WBBM.

Edwards now says that he was let go by WBBM, and it appears he is done with TV news, at least for now.

Edwards has launched a communications firm called BE Media Inc.

Edwards says he is excited to launch a new venture, but he isn’t ruling out a return to TV news in the future.
