Demoted at News Nation

When Nexstar’s News Nation hired ABC’s Adrienne Bankert (pictured) to host the morning newscast, they made a big deal about it.

After the ratings sagged, Nexstar hired Donald Trump fan Markie Martin to co-anchor alongside Bankert.

Now, News Nation will have Martin solo the morning newscast, and Bankeret is moving to “special projects.”

I asked a News Nation staffer if this was a demotion for Bankeret?

“Yes! Her star at NN has been descending for quite a while and I won’t be surprised if she is out the door completely when her contract comes up,” the source told FTVLive.
