Trump Chickens Out of Fox Debate

If Donald Trump had attended the debate being held by Fox News, it is likely he would not have been asked very tough questions because, come on, it’s Fox News, and he’s Donald Trump.

But, Trump has decided to skip the debate and sit down for even softer questions from Tucker Carlson to be streamed on Twitter (yes, I know it’s not still called Twitter, but I’m not calling it “X”, no one is).

Fox News’s biggest executives even made a trip to his country club in New Jersey to beg and grovel for him to appear at the debate.

It didn’t work.

This is a big win for Carlson, the one-time king of hate night TV. He gets the one person that Fox News wanted to show up to the debate.

Without Trump, the ratings will likely be weak. With Trump, it would have been a shit show, but it would have been a shit show that people watched.

In the end, Trump is just too scared to face off against people that are smarter than him and possibly have to answer a more challenging question than Carlson will lob his way.
