CNN Boss Tells Staff He's Sorry...

I’m sorry, but you can’t have it both ways.

CNN CEO Chris Licht apologized to staffers on Monday, saying, “I should not be in the news” following a damaging magazine story that has fueled speculation he may soon be toppled from the helm of the struggling cable network.

This came after The Atlantic posted a takedown piece on Licht that showed just how far he is in over his head at CNN.

But here’s the thing, Licht gave Atlantic Reporter Tim Alberta full access for months, which included shadowing Licht at work, home, and even the gym.

If you don’t want to be in the news, don’t invite the news to follow your every move.

Licht also told the staff that he is moving his office down to the same level as the CNN newsroom. That is where it should have been from day one.

Just saying…
