Agent Move
/OTA Talent agent Natalie Davis has earned a promotion to the agency’s prestigious Major Accounts Team. OTA’s Major Accounts Team focuses on six-figure salaries in major markets and networks, representing on-air talent, producers, and news management. OTA Talent is the largest pure play TV News Agency in America. This metric is measured by agent count.
In the nearly two years since Davis joined OTA, she has proven her leadership, earning her spot as one of the legacy agency’s top agents. “Relationships are important to me. I treasure the opportunity to connect with not only my clients, but also the amazing newsroom leadership I work with across the country. As part of the Major Accounts Team, my goal is to bolster those relationships to benefit both my clients and newsrooms looking for excellent journalists and fantastic teammates,” Davis explained.
Davis quickly proved herself as one of OTA’s top stars. OTA Talent CEO Jeff Marcu said, “Natalie has an expert understanding of OTA’s proprietary infrastructure that has launched hundreds of successful client careers. She is a leader and tackles every project with diligence, success, and class. Natalie has exceeded all our expectations and proven herself as one of America’s top agents to her clients, the industry, and her OTA colleagues and leadership. She has developed strong relationships with hiring managers at major markets and networks. Now Natalie will expand those partnerships.”
Since launching OTA Talent’s Major Accounts Team, the agency has seen a surge in clients who want effective representation in the higher echelon of the industry. Major Accounts Team National Director Bill Dallman shared the many benefits of adding Davis to his team. “I’m so proud to work with Natalie building relationships on every level and admiring her unwavering advocacy for journalism. Natalie’s passion for the industry and for representing clients is contagious,” Dallman said.
Kimberly Price, OTA Talent’s senior vice president understands the need for effective representation at the highest levels of our industry and described why Davis is the perfect fit to join Dallman on OTA’s Major Accounts Team. “Natalie is a true leader and innovator. She is highly respected in our industry for her professionalism and keen eye for talent. Both she and Bill will provide a service that our clients and broadcast executives have needed for a long time,” Price explained.
Gary McGrady, national director of OTA’s partner agency USA Talent, has collaborated with Davis on a number of initiatives and described the dedication and expertise Davis brings to OTA’s Major Accounts Team. “Determined, deserving, and DAMN SMART! Natalie gets it done on every level. A forward-thinker, she takes ideas to the next level and never lets her clients or the team down,” McGrady said.
Most of the talent and management at this advanced career stage already have representation, but many have expressed concerns about the effectiveness of the agencies offering services at this level. Davis explained, “The people I speak with, who have worked with other agencies, often say they feel like a number; they're just one of many clients being sent en masse with other candidates. At OTA Talent, it's personalized. We work closely with our clients to understand their experience, their goals, and who they are as a journalist and newsroom citizen. If you're my client, I know you, I care about your happiness, and I do everything in my power to market you to the max and help you excel in your career.”
