An internal memo went out to the staff at Tegna’s KSDK (St. Louis) informing them that after the November book, main Anchor Anne Allred is going to work part-time.

Allred anchored the 6 and 10 PM newscasts but will soon just be doing the 6.

Here’s the memo from News Director Carol Fowler and obtained by FTVLive.

Everyone -

I'd like to share news of a change that that Anne Allred and I have spent several weeks discussing.

After November sweeps, Anne will step back from the 10pm newscast as Monday - Friday co-anchor.

She will continue as anchor of the 6pm and still report regularly for our Verify segment and other special projects.

This move - leaving the 10pm as co-anchor - was at Anne's request: "With the end of my contract approaching, it was a good time to reevaluate. This is a great next step for me professionally and personally. It allows me to continue to do the job I love with our amazing 50YS team."

Anne's excellent reporting will be a regular fixture of the late news, even if she won't be in studio live.

We will be naming a new 10pm anchor to work with Mike. More on that to follow!

While Fowler did not say who will replace Allred, look for 5 PM Anchor Kelly Jackson to be named.
