News Chopper Makes Emergency Landing

Some tense moments for a Chicago news crew.

WFLD’s news helicopter was headed back to the Windy City after undergoing some routine maintenance in Wisconsin.

The chopper’s pilot and a News Photographer were on board when the schopper took a bird hit. The brid smashed through the canopy and the pilot was hit in the face.

He was able to ditch the chopper in a nearby field.

Both people on board were okay after the incident.
