Goodbye to CNN Center
/While it has basically been a ghost town ever since Jeff Zucker took over at CNN, the network will be closing the doors on CNN Center in Atlanta.
When Zucker took control of CNN, he moved just about everyone to New York and CNN Center was really nothing more than a big billboard in downtown Atlanta.
The people that are still working at CNN Center will move just a few miles north to the Warner Bros. Discovery’s Techwood Turner Broadcasting campus.
The CNN logo atop the CNN Center will come down.
“I am heartbroken,” said former CNN President Tom Johnson, who led the network from 1990 to 2001. “So many of my friends tell me how they’re going to miss that wonderful CNN logo on top of CNN Center. It just meant so much to us.”
CNN has said that they expect to be completely vacated from CNN Center in Atlanta later this year.
