Sitting Out a Non-Compete?

WXIA (Atlanta) longtime Investigative Reporter Brendan Keefe is signing off from the Tegna station today.

Keefe has racked up a number of awards in his 8 years at WXIA.

Although he’s leaving the station, don’t look for him to be leaving the Atlanta market.

A number of people in the market think Keefe is going to cross the street to another station in the market. Keefe has not said anything and says he will make an announcement on Monday.

Don’t be surprised if he doesn’t cross the street to Gray’s WGCL.

Of course, if he does stay in The A-T-L, he will likely have to sit out a non-compete before popping back up on the air.
