Sinclair Station Cancels Newscast Due to COVID Outbreak
/Sinclair owned WTVC (Chattanooga) cancelled their morning newscast after they said the station has experienced a “widespread” COVID outbreak.
At 4:30AM on Monday morning, the station posted this tweet informing viewers that the show was cancelled.
Some viewers wondered nearly 3 years into the pandemic, the station was not more prepared with a backup plan?
The station replied back, but not everyone was satisfied with the answer:
While the station did not give specifics as to what happened, you would think that there could have been some plan in place to get the newscast on the air.
With the pandemic still very much still making people sick, you would think that all stations would have a plan in place with remote locations and employee backup plans, so you would never have to cancel a newscast.
I would think that a company the size of Sinclair would have been more prepared for this.
Just saying….
