Another Leaving Nexstar's LA Station

FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that popular KTLA Anchor Courtney Friel is likely not going to renew her contract when it comes up in less than two months.

Now, after more than a decade at the station, KTLA Anchor/Reporter Christina Pascucci has also told her co-workers that she is leaving the Nexstar station.

Insiders tell FTVLive that morale at the station is very low and as more top talent walks out the door, it is certainly not going to help the matter.

Here is Pascucci’s internal email to the staff and obtained by FTVLive:

Subject: Thank you, KTLA family

To my dear KTLA family,

I love you more than words can sufficiently express. You’re really all I’ve known my entire working life. KTLA was the first news station my mom remembers watching when she moved to America 50 years ago. Me working at KTLA was truly the realization of her American dream. And, my own wildest dream!

To call you colleagues has been a great honor of my life. Tears are streaming down my cheeks as I replay the last nearly ELEVEN years. I was such a baby when I walked in these doors and you generously gave me space to grow so much. From weddings, to pep talks in the hallways, painful losses, birthdays, babies, therapy sessions in the news van, I am grateful for all of it.

It’s why leaving is one of the hardest things I’ve done, though I know it is the best decision at this time.

Keep fighting the good fight. Local, trustworthy news has never been more important. And most of all, thank you.

My utmost admiration, respect, and love,

~Christina
