Longtime Virginia Anchor/Reporter Dies

Susan Bahorich, an anchor and reporter for three different Virginia television stations over the span of more than 15 years, died on Friday at the age of 46 (just three days shy of her 47th birthday). She had been battling Ovarian Cancer off and on for nearly 10 years. She went public with her cancer battle while working at WDBJ in Roanoke back in 2013.

WDBJ is where Susan spent most of her career, working as a weekend morning anchor and weekday reporter from 2004 - 2014. She also worked at WHSV in Harrisonburg from 2000 - 2003 and WWBT in Richmond from 2014 - 2016. She later moved closer to family in Maryland and held a public relations role in the healthcare field at the time of her death.
