Leading with Threats
/It seems Klutsarits was not happy that some Reporters and MMJ’s were not turning a story for the station’s website.
“I’m done babysitting,” Klutsarits said in the memo.
FTVLive got a lot of feedback from people about the internal memo and some also took to social media to weigh in.
I've always said, "Lead by inspiration NOT intimidation." This email to @NBC2 staff made me cringe. Managers should lead by example, never call staff names, & be positive & productive. Motivate staff, don't threaten them. @FTVLive https://t.co/q43L4TzAjN

One FTVLive reader made an interesting point in a post:
Yes, it appears that Klutsarits is telling staff that if they don’t turn in a web story, he is punishing them by assigning them to the digital team the next day.
If working in the digital department is considered a form of punishment, how does that make the people that work in that department full-time feel?
In a business that is finding it harder to hire on qualified people, maybe treating the people you do have with a bit more respect and not referring to them as “babies” will go a long way in making that happen.
Just saying….
