It's Like they are Following the Same Script from the Past 3 Decades

Word started circulating on Friday that White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was leaving her post and headed to MSNBC.

Psaki, nor MSNBC have yet confirmed the move and the White House said, "We don't have anything to confirm about Jen's length of planned service or any consideration about future plans," a White House official said. "Jen is here and working hard every day on behalf of the President to get you the answers to the questions that you have, and that's where her focus is."

Word is that Psaki will be a talking head for NBC and will also host of her own show on the streaming service Peacock.

Fox News, MSNBC and CNN all now have streaming services that feature talking heads that came from inside the beltway.

As for Psaki, if she has an agreement with NBC she needs to depart now.

I know there is not much ethics in Washington, but it is not cool to have Psaki speaking for the White House and answering questions from NBC Reporters, when she has a deal with the network.

As for cable news, hiring people from inside the beltway is really played out.

Do you really think that the average viewer is saying, “Wow! I can’t wait to Jen Psaki’s show on Peacock, let me sign up right now!”

You’re supposed to be a cable NEWS station, how about filling those roles with real Journalists?

But, as we all know, whomever replaces Psaki at the White House, we also get snatched up by a cable news channel in due time.

It’s like no suit at the cable news channel has any imagination and just stick with the same formula that has been in place for decades.
