Well, That Might Have not Been the Best Career Choice

Joe Donlon seemed to have landed the perfect job when he was hired by WGN in Chicago to anchor the station’s main newscast.

But, when Nexstar decided to launch their cable news channel, Donlon signed off from WGN and headed over to News Nation.

It was there that Donlon seemed to morph into a Fox News wannabe and that included one of the softest interviews ever conducted with then President Donald Trump.

Donlon lost a lot of credibility throughout the industry and now it appears he is losing his job.

Donlon signs off later this month, saying, “It has been an honor to occupy this seat for the past year. Not many people get to host a national show like this, and I will always appreciate the opportunity," Donlon said. "I have learned more than I ever could have imagined. I want to thank the incredible team at The Donlon Report for all their hard work. I have the utmost respect for what everyone at NewsNation is trying to accomplish, and I wish my friends there nothing but the best moving forward.”

Will he get hired in this business again?

You might think he has no chance after being tarnished at News Nation. But, this is TV news and of course, if he wants to work in this business, there is someone out there that will give him a job.

But, regaining his credibility might take a lot longer.

Hey Joe, NewsMax is on line 1.
