Maybe, Just Stick to the Weather

Former CBS Anchor Dan Rather weighed in on Elon Musk and his flip-flopping on free speech.

For some reason KOTV (Tulsa) Weather Anchor Travis Meyer felt the need to weigh in from the right.

First off, Dan Rather is no longer a Journalist, although Meyer still works in the business.

Anyone longtime follower of FTVLive knows I am not, nor have I ever been a fan of Dan Rather. But, the guy is now out of the business and he is certainly free to speak his mind.

I called out former CNN media critic Brian Stelter for showing his left leaning bias at CNN. Stelter is now gone from the business and while his posts now are often biased, he is not employed as a Journalist. So, we have no issue with what he feels the need to say.

Travis Meyer still represents KOTV and he should keep his conservative political leanings to himself. His posts impact the real Journalists that work in the KOTV newsroom.

Also, he’s a weather guy, and it might be best to stay out of politics altogether. Then again, he brings is right-wing viewers even to the weather.
