Dallas Anchor is Retiring....Again
/Back in 2018, KXAS Chief Met David Finfrock stepped back from his job and handed the reigns of chief meteorologist over to Rick Mitchell.
But, although Finfrock planned to retire, it never really happened. Viewers saw Finfrock a lot as he has been helping out covering dozens of shifts for the NBC O&O’s Weather Team.
He was hired in 1975 by the station's original chief meteorologist Harold Taft. He took over as chief when Harold died in 1991 and then led the station's weather department for the next 27 years.
But now, Finfrock says he is stepping back into retirement and is winding down his time at KXAS.
We’ll have to wait and see if retirement sticks this time.
