Cuomo Ratings Drop from Debut

The suits at Nexstar’s News Nation had hoped that bringing Chris Cuomo on board would bring many more viewers to the struggling cable news channel.

Cuomo’s debut show did not exactly blow up in the ratings, but he did pick up a few more viewers after that first night show and saw a marginal increase in the ratings.

The Nexstar bosses hope that the ratings growth would follow him into week 2, but it didn’t happen.

Cuomo is down 5% from his launch in viewers and down 10% in the demo from week 1 to week 2.

So much for growing an audience.

Also, Nexstar’s News Nation aired the debate between Senator Raphael Warnock and “Sheriff” Herschel Walker.

While this is one of the most talked about political races in the country, News Nation pulled in just 185,000 viewers for the debate.

I think many expected that number to be much higher.
