Stay In Your Lane

When you decide to work in a TV newsroom, you should also learn that you need to keep your opinion out of the public eye.

This applies to everyone, including Meteorologists.

Here’s a couple of examples.

Looking at the Twitter “Likes” of WABC Met Sam Champion and you see these two examples:

When Champion “Likes” posts like this, it is clear that his left wing bias is on display.

On the other side of the political aisle is WTVR (Richmond) Met Frances Peyton, who “liked” some posts attacking President Biden.

Your job is to give the weather and not show your political opinion on social media. I’m surprised that the bosses at the station don’t seem to have an issue with things like this?
