That Landed with a Thud

While Chris Cuomo is on “vacation” at CNN, the network plugged its new series Being… with Dana Bash into Cuomo’s prime time 9 PM slot on Monday.

The network hyped the show and the first subject was Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Let’s just say, looking at the ratings, CNN’s much-hyped show stumbled out of the blocks. The show ranked outside of the top 30 programs in cable news and was the lowest-rated Monday at 9 PM/ET hour of the year. The hour was down 55% with total viewers and down 46% with demo versus 2021 so far.

And, since this is CNN we’re talking about, they did not let go of their Fox News obsession. Bash spent an entire segment with AOC asking her about Fox News and how the network makes her feel?

CNN’s Fox News obsession has now entered the Stalker Level.

Here’s a hint, if you want to be the top-rated cable news station, stop talking about the top-rated cable news station. While I’m sure Fox News appreciates the constant free publicity, it is not helping you one bit.
